Weeks Brick House & Gardens

We're sure you realize that membership is the lifeline of any organization. Members choose the officers and directors who are to lead their organization. Members contribute ideas for goals and direction of their organization. Financial support by members is necessary to achieve these goals and directions.

In the case of the Weeks Brick House (Leonard Weeks and Descendants in America, Inc.), the annual meeting of members in September is the time for election of officers and directors. Some elected are members of the Weeks family, and some are from the local Greenland community. Again in our case, the object of primary concern is the preservation, maintenance and restoration of the Brick House and its adjoining property. How we accomplish these is open to suggestions from the members. Fortunately, a rental income is covering a good deal of our operating budget, but we do count heavily on dues and contributions from members and friends. We look forward to, and welcome new members. Receive periodic newsletters with information about the house and the family. Join our family get-together / annual meeting on the first weekend after Labor Day, at which time the house is open for tours and inspection, and genealogy information is available and shared. Our membership year is from June 1 to May 31. Your support of the Weeks Brick House will be greatly appreciated. Additional tax deductible contributions are also welcome.

Early in 2001, the Board voted to increase membership dues from those used since our inception in 1975. Inflation alone over the 25 years would justify a nominal increase, but our ambitious plans for the future call for more support than ever, and we sincerely hope that you will continue to give generously.

The new dues structure is as follows, effective June 1, 2001:

Visionary
Leader
Preservationist
Builder
Family
Individual
$1000.00
500.00
250.00
100.00
40.00
20.00
